Nostalgia for the romanticism of strains from yesteryear feels so good, but is it? Memories of the past are only memories of memories of memories of memories… Do you remember that one day or do you remember the photo of that day?

Are strains from 25 years ago truly better in anyway to the genetics of today? Maybe resistance wise, but no... have we lost some amazing genetic lines? Hell yes we have.

Five clones I want back from yesterday.

1. Durban Poison - to whoever…. in Colorado that names some sugary shit strain Durban Poison also…. You should have your head examined. Durban Poison is and will always be anise, black licorice.

I’ve made around 65 creations this year, lets review a few of them below as fall creeps in.

But first from the past HOOF hitting Michigan markets this month courtesy of Voyage Bloom.

I did an extensive breeding project with a Black Maple male from Bloom Seeds. One of the more interesting works was a Don Draper Female ( Blissful Wizard #60 x Death Star x Mainline OG) to the Black Maple male. I made the Don Draper in 2014, a mix of Cherry Licorice and Clove cigarette terpene presented itself.

Another interesting Black Maple cross was Ziezhi ( a mouthful) Hoof ( Nom Nom x Mendobreath) x Black Maple

This spring I reversed Runtz clone only to a handful of genetics that I felt would open up some new smells.

Another creation I’m seeing a lot of action with this year is Wedding Cheesecake, that’s a cross of the clone only Wedding Cheesecake x Blissful Wizard x Black Cherry Cheesecake Cookies.

September is upon us, of late some flower I’ve tried that is sticking out to me

1. Limeheads- PURE LIME GOODNESS, stop with the THC levels and expand your flavor pallet with this one.

2. Grape Gas- I nearly put this one first, it’s so tasty on the end with grape.

3. Giesel- If you know you know, I love flavor, this is sour.

4. Golf Cart Gary- perfect mix of creamy strawberry goodness.
